Moving Forward

Larkin served as a CLIPI fellow and then became an attorney with, and subsequently Executive Director of, the Impact Fund in Berkeley, California from 2010 to February 2024, specializing in complex employment discrimination and class action litigation. She is currently Of Counsel at the Impact Fund.

Larkin has been involved in several significant class action cases, including Dukes v. Wal-Mart Stores, Ellis v. Costco Wholesale Corp., and Parra v. Bashas’ Inc. Her work has earned her recognition as a leading figure in employment law.

In addition to her legal practice, Larkin developed the Impact Fund’s Class Action Training Institute and its annual Class Action Conference, providing resources and support for public interest lawyers. She has also served as a Lecturer at UC Berkeley School of Law, teaching courses on civil procedure and litigation.

Larkin is actively engaged in shaping civil procedure at the national level. In November 2024, she was appointed to the Advisory Committee on Civil Rules, which advises the U.S. Supreme Court on federal civil procedure rules.
