Impact at CLIPI

Moving Forward

After graduating from UC Berkeley Law School, Jackson Drake served as one of the two first CLIPI fellows in the late 1970s during the early years of her legal career. At CLIPI, she worked on several major cases including the City of Irvine litigation, which challenged the City’s exclusionary zoning practices and resulted in the building of hundreds of affordable housing units.

After CLIPI, she returned to San Francisco, where she worked as a foundation executive focused on women’s health, education, arts, the elderly, and poverty. She also practiced law, concentrating on public health and environmental issues.
